On my last "time of the month" I experienced chunks of some type of blood or tissue. I am very worried and was wondering if it's normal. I'm planning to talk with my doctor about it but the appointment isn't for another month.

Dear Shelly,
During the menstrual days many women experience "clumping or clotting," especially during the end of the period. This is not abnormal as long as there are no other symptoms such as spotting between menstruation or severe pain. I think it is a good idea to discuss it with your gynecologist though I wouldn't be alarmed about the problem.
