"How long after having unprotected sex
would I see symptoms of a yeast infection?"

Dear Jacqui,
I know it's possible to get a yeast infection from my lover. So what I'm wondering is if he did have one, how long after having unprotected sex would I see symptoms? Also, how long after he had sex with an infected female would he see symptoms? Jennifer

Dear Jennifer,
es moist, warm environments to exist. So, unless he caught it just a short time before being with you, I doubt that's how you got infected. I understand your worry, however, and you are right to want to know if your lover is in an exclusive sexual relationship with you.

You might also want to consider that sometimes, during very active relations, when the vaginal environment becomes unbalanced; vaginal infections could occur quite easily and quickly. The yeast fungus, as well as other bacteria, is always present in your vaginal area. They are kept in check when the vaginal environment and pH is in balance.

Disturbances caused by aggressive sexuality, ingredients such as fragrance in bubble baths or cleansing products, chemical colors, plant additives can easily destroy the normal pH and vaginal environment and give these little unwanted aggressors free rein.

I suggest you take special care with personal hygiene. Use a pH-balanced soap or body wash such as the very mild pH balanced Very Private Body Wash. It will actually help protect you from vaginal irritations simply by washing daily. You can find it on our website, www.veryprivate.com under products. I hope you'll soon find clarification and solve your problem.

Best wishes.

Jacqui
