There is no single proper technique for shaving the vaginal area. Most women feel that professional waxing gets the smoothest and longest lasting result. You can have it done professionally and there are several do-it-yourself kits available at the drugstore.

Besides waxing, there are a number of creams which you can buy over the counter or shave. Quite a few women have their pubic hair shaved professionally especially when they're desirous of achieving a particular pattern. Re-growth, of course, is always a problem and the vaginal skin often gets very irritated, especially when you have to shave repeatedly. If you do choose to shave, please use a fresh razor, a good magnifying mirror and a mild disinfectant before and after shaving to avoid any possible irritation or infection.
