Yes, it is ok and quite a few women shave completely. The advantages are based on preferences. Some women, and some men, prefer "the shaved look." The potential disadvantages: You must be careful not to cut yourself when shaving otherwise infections can easily occur.

Also, when the pubic hair grows in women often feel itchiness and occasional skin irritations. There are also chemical creams to eliminate vaginal hair. Again, we have reports that a certain number of women are allergic to these creams and develop skin irritations.
