Dear Jacqui,
I have a condition in which I've noticed when my inner thighs get sweaty or moist, I give off a light fishy odor, how I can get rid of that smell so it's not noticeable, and what causes it? Mabeline
Dear Mebeline,
Many women have the problem you describe. Often it occurs after sexual intercourse, which may or may not be the case. You know that at all times there is a presence of bacteria and fungus on our skin so it is particularly important to keep excellent hygiene. Soaps and other cleansing products containing fragrance or chemical colors or plant additives may destroy the delicate pH balance in the vagina. If that occurs all kinds of irritations, odor or other skin reactions may take place.
We strongly suggest that you use a cleanser that is pH balanced, contains none of the ingredients mentioned above. Also avoid scented bubble baths and/or any douches or deodorants in the vaginal area containing fragrance or coloring or other additives.
This is the reason why we developed such a Body Wash. You may read more about it on our website www.veryprivate.com. If the odor is persistent and strong, there is a possibility that you have a recurrent infection, which needs to be checked out by your doctor. Hopefully this is of help.
Jacqui
