I have a red bump on the outer portion of my vagina. It is really irritating. Is this serious or could it be caused from something like an ingrown hair?

Dear Angelina,
If the bump is recent and red it could just come from a slight irritation or infection just like a little pimple on any other part of your body. Wash with a non-scented, pH balanced soap or body wash such as Very Private which cleanses gently and contains a special ingredient to help protect the vagina against irritations. If the bump does not disappear, it might be a vaginal wart, which should be examined by a gynecologist. It is not serious, but it's best to be cautious.
