Lately I have been feeling irritation whenever I use condoms. My vagina gets dry once latex is on contact and it really starts to hurt and my vagina gets red and swollen. My boyfriend suggest that I may be allergic to latex...could this be a possibility? Hurting.

Yes, many women are allergic to latex condoms. You might try using a little Very Private Intimate Moisture on the condom and see if that will make a difference. It will not affect the latex condom but will, hopefully, made intimacy comfortable.
