and vaginal dryness. Is there a healthy estrogen level to alleviate this stuff? Dear Jacqui, Also, I was reading one of the questions posted on your website. The one about vaginal dryness and having a very low sex drive caught my attention. I thought that I was the only one with that problem. Is there an estrogen or hormone level that is healthy for a woman? Thank you, Terry Dear Terry, You should wash with lukewarm water after you've had sex and for your regular daily hygiene routine use a pH balanced soap or body wash (do not use products in the vaginal area containing fragrance, plant additives or chemical colors, no douching either). As you go through your cleansing routine after sexuality, your husband's ejaculate will for the most part be eliminated. It should not cause "substantial discharge" later on. Sometimes a tiny bit is still in you and will flow out at a later point. The discharge you describe may be connected with a vaginal infection and I suggest that if it remains you should see a doctor for proper diagnosis just to make sure there is no medical condition present that could put you at risk. As to your second question about vaginal dryness: It is a very common problem, millions of women suffer from it and it is most of the times connected with changing hormone levels. When estrogen levels are low the symptoms often are vaginal dryness and low sexual drive. Again, I would advise a visit with your gynecologist to discuss both these issue. Only proper medical evaluation can identify the nature of your problem and indicate the proper course of treatment. Jacqui Copyright 2001 Brandwynne Corporation. All rights reserved.
