Improving Sex & Intimacy
"I have a second chance to be happy
with a wonderful man,
but I have a problem with orgasm.
"

Dear Jacqui,
I have a problem with orgasm. Fortunately, my fiancé is very patient with me. He tries and tries but it's just not going to happen. I feel really frustrated. I have heard that Viagra could help. Can you recommend it? Please help me. I'm 54 and have a second chance to be happy with a wonderful man. Silvi

Dear Silvi,
Several Doctors have given "Viagra" to their female patients, on a test basis, to produce more blood flow to the vaginal area. The results have not been encouraging, though some women have reported success.

There are, however, other products that may stimulate your libido and help you achieve orgasm, such as a topically applied testosterone cream. Your physician must prescribe prescription drugs like "Viagra," or a testosterone cream, after evaluation of your health condition. These medications are potent and may cause side effects.

You may want to go to the Pfizer website and contact the company for information about Viagra specifically. This might be an ideal time to have your hormone levels checked. As you probably know, during the menopausal years a woman's estrogen levels diminish substantially which could be a reason your are having difficulty in reaching orgasm.

Finally, I must ask you if you ever enjoyed orgasms with other men? Maybe your problem is "person specific" in which case it is not a physiological but a psychological issue. If that is the case, the help of a therapist might very well help you to overcome the problem. I'm quite confident that you can be helped. I wish you great happiness in your life together.

Jacqui
