"I get overly lubricated during arousal"

Dear Jacqui,
I've noticed there are many products to increase wetness. Is there anything to decrease lubrication, I get overly lubricated during arousal? Cher

Dear Cher,
There are quite a few women who experience the same symptoms as you. Often it is a function of hormonal activity. Since I don't know if you are on "the pill", or any medication that could be contributory, I suggest you discuss the issue with your gynecologist.

As a practical matter you may consider cleansing before intimacy with a gentle pH balanced body wash, such as Very Private pH balanced Body Wash. This may help remove some of the excess moisture your body produces.

And possibly if you reach an orgasm before your partner enters you it may be very pleasurable. Many sexologists believe that it is preferable for a woman to have an orgasm before entry. Intimate moisture is stored in the vaginal walls and is produced from two little glands that are called the Bartholin glands. During the arousal stage a signal from the brain provokes the release of the moisture. There is a possibility that there is a physiological dysfunction, but only your gynecologist could make that determination. I am sure with a little patience you can solve the problem.

Best wishes.

Jacqui
