My period was due on 23 March but to date my period has yet to start. So I wanted to know that after the sexual intercourse, does the monthly flow of blood stop immediately or does it take a month to stop.

Sometimes menstruation can be delayed for a number of reasons. But there is always the possibility that you might be pregnant especially if you had sexual relations without birth control protection. If you do not get your period for another couple of weeks you may wish to test yourself with one of the readily available pregnancy kits that you can purchase at any large drugstore. Otherwise you might prefer to get a check up with your gynecologist.
